GABRIELLE DAVID is a multidisciplinary artist engaged in publishing, editing, poetry, writing, music, photography, web design, and graphic and layout design. She serves as the Executive Director and board member of 2Leaf Press Inc. and is the publisher of 2Leaf Press. David has coedited and edited numerous books and is the author of the six-volume series titled TRAILBLAZERS, Black Women Who Helped Make America Great, American Firsts/American Icons. Website
ANDREW P. JACKSON (Sekou Molefi Baako), is an activist librarian who led the Langston Hughes Community Library and Cultural Center in Queens, New York, as its executive director from 1980 to 2016. He has worked as a library consultant and advisor for public libraries in Florida, New York, and North Carolina, promoting and sharing his expertise to uphold the significance of written language. In 2001, Jackson became an adjunct professor at his alma mater, York College (CUNY). Jackson has held leadership roles on the executive board of the Black Caucus of the American Library Association (BCALA), serving as both president and vice president. Throughout his career, he has earned several honors and has authored and edited several books. A Vietnam War veteran, Jackson served in the U.S. Air Force from 1964 to 1968 and was honorably discharged, having been awarded the Bronze Star. HISTORYMAKERS
